SUSTAINABILITY
Food is at the core of what we do and being deeply rooted in the support of British farming and agriculture, we are proud to showcase the finest ingredients available.
A proportion of our fleet is dedicated to serving produce from one of the largest organic farms in the UK. The beef, lamb and pork are reared and butchered on site and all milk used is sourced from the estates own herd of milking cows, which is again, processed on site.
For these units, we work with a local supplier of fruit and vegetables whose ethos of using only local, sustainable produce aligns with ours perfectly. Together we have committed to using no single use packaging with any produce.
On our other units, we use grass fed beef and outdoor reared pork from an estate located less than twenty miles away from our own premises. Again, all this meat is butchered on site.
Milk comes from a local dairy Co-Operative who hand pick their farmers with health and welfare of cows being of the upmost importance.
Our supplier of chips has a clear sustainability strategy as well as a firm commitment to support British farmers and UK agriculture.
The coffee served on our coffee units is roasted in the UK and all beans come from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms and our instant coffee is organic and all its packaging is plant based and fully bio-degradable.
All our cold drink cans and bottles are fully recyclable.
Spent cooking oil is stored in house and recycled into biofuels by a licenced company.
We have sourced responsible suppliers to provide us with environmentally friendly packaging, for instance:
- The meal trays used to serve chicken, fish and loaded fries along with our napkins are compostable, meaning they are made from organic materials that break down and leave no residue behind. They are also fully recyclable.
- The hot drink cups and lids used on all our units are fully recyclable.
- The pint glasses served from our bar are made with a minimum 30% recycled plastics and are recyclable.
- Our greaseproof bags and tray liners are compostable, including the ink used to print all our designs. These are 100% recyclable too.
- We only use recyclable wooden cutlery
